I think at this point, it has gone too far.
I should have put this up sooner, but I was actually monitoring on how things are going, and I think it has gone too far.
Honestly, call me a hypocrite if you want to, but hear me out.
AM&K started out to as a minah kening kinda bashing site. (Correct me if I'm wrong). The objectives were clear from the start. To make people aware of the PHYSICAL degradation that minah's do, in a bid that the habit will change. It is a place to highlight people with bad kenings, to awake them in favour of something more natural.
But overtime, we have become stereotypical, into what all this Minah Kening mess is about, and we have painted a picture that Malay girls, have bad dress sense, which is not entirely true. I know of some minah cukur kening who actually do dress very well, and I must say that as a guy, I am attracted to some of them.
So over time, there's this talk about jade necklesses, thights are not pants, undersized clothes, thick make up, which all to me, is fine. There's also a post recently about how these minah takde kenings too, are very vulgar and paint a bad picture of the Malay women in society as a whole.
Which is still, I feel, in line with the initial objective of highlighting this bad behaviour, in a bid to change them.
BUT.
Today, I think the last straw is drawn.
Here's where I can't accept things.
While I think it's okay to laugh at others, I don't think it's ok to make fun of your own friends.
While I think it's ok to make fun of people we don't know, who are just utterly bad, we as friends, should be advising our own friends to do better, rather than to put them in AM&K only to let others laugh at them.
Member makan member. Bila mau maju?
I don't think my friends are perfect, but I don't post them up, and let people laugh at them. And what more to call them names! This is wayyyy to far.
When I posted about Asz earlier, I see the lighter side of our friendship, and use that to drive a point for the others in the Community to learn from. Not posting up his face and telling how cibai it looks like, and letting others comment on it.
Looking at the bigger picture, we are a community.
We shouldn't be putting up pictures of others in the first place.
But we do it. WHY?
Cos diorang tak makan cakap.
Why do we even bother?
Cos it affects us.
So, what say me?

i actually am happy that you see my side of view.
ReplyDeletenone of those featured are related to me in anyway but i just think that to put it as a religious organisation is bringing shame to our religion.
orang agama lain mesti hairan.islam is supposed to be a peaceful way of life.
i know that many of us said that we are not minahs/mat because we are not pure malay.but right now,can we distinctively see the PURE MALAY BREED?semua bangsa da macam rojak due to inter racial marriages.and to the AMK,having a minah/minahrep term is so degrading.mind you,i have tons of friends that look like the authetic minahreps but are having degrees and good jobs.
so i support truly on this post.ALHAMDULLILAH.you finally see our point.
